WHY MINDCHAMPS INFANT CARE

The S.M.I.L.E.S. Methodology

Empirical research by the MindChamps Global Research & Programme Development Team shows that in the earliest stages of development, the brain learns best when all aspects of the mind are engaged together.

That’s why every activity in our infant care programme is designed to stimulate multiple areas of growth — Sensory, Motor, Intellectual, Linguistic, Emotional and Social — in a unified, holistic way.

S.M.I.L.E.S.

MindChamps research-backed and proprietary S.M.I.L.E.S. approach guides activities that support your child’s development across six key areas: Sensory, Motor (Music and Movement), Intellectual, Linguistic, Emotional and Social.

Here’s how we incorporate S.M.I.L.E.S. into daily routines to meet the needs of our youngest learners:

Sensory

Young children learn by exploring the world through their senses. This sensory input helps build the brain connections that support later thinking and learning. In our infant care programme, sensorial activities are part of daily routines, giving infants and toddlers the stimulation they need to build a strong foundation for development.

Motor

Infants build motor skills through repetition, trial and error, and exploration. In our S.M.I.L.E.S. environment, physical movement is encouraged throughout the day. Activities are designed to support specific motor milestones, giving children the space and support to practice and grow.

Intellectual

Intellectual growth begins with neural connections formed through experience. Our activities help infants link cause and effect, connect actions with outcomes, and relate sensory input to social, emotional and language experiences — laying the groundwork for lifelong learning.

Linguistic

Language develops through constant exposure. In our infant care programme, language is naturally woven into every routine and interaction. Whether through songs, stories or conversation, our educarers give children the rich input they need to start building language skills early.

Emotional

In the first years, children learn about emotions by observing and interacting with the adults around them. Our trained educarers build secure, responsive relationships with each child, using everyday moments to support emotional awareness and regulation.

Social

Early social development grows through close, one-to-one interactions. Our educarers are trained to read emotional cues, respond with sensitivity and guide children in managing their feelings — helping them build the trust and confidence needed for healthy relationships.
